People, who want a healthy life, attach the greatest importance to weight control and diet. It is because of the important role of weight control in a healthy life. Weighing more than your ideal weight for some reasons may make you be worried about your health and aesthetic appearance.

Choosing the diet that best suits your body and metabolism can help you reach the ideal weight you want. The diets, which allow you to lose weight without starving yourself and ensure that you get all the necessary nutrients, make it possible to reach the targeted weight.

Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent Fasting (IF), which is by far the fastest method to lose weight in the the world, stands out not as a diet but as a nutritional discipline.

Intermittent fasting, where you do not eat foods but drink no-cal fluids during the fasting window, helps balance hormones, curbs appetite and eliminates fats and toxins in the body.

During intermittent fasting, which is mostly preferred as 6/18, you do not eat foods for 18 hours, and consume healthy foods with 2 meals during the 6-hour period. This diet, which visibly slims down especially waist and stomach, is known as the most popular diet preferred by famous people around the world.

Paleo Diet

The paleo diet is based on an eating plan, which includes foods that people in the Paleolithic Era got by hunting and gathering. It is built around unprocessed, natural foods. Claiming to reduce the risk of heart diseases, the Paleo diet is based on consumption of fresh vegetables and fruits, meat and poultry, and it excludes processed and packaged foods.

Consumption of grains, dairy products, legumes and artificial products such as sweeteners is never allowed in this diet. Paleo is not a diet at all, but a form of nutrition that aims to eat like our ancestors.

Mediterranean Diet

As the name suggests, it basically includes plant-based food products, fresh vegetables and fruits, grains, legumes and oilseeds, with limited red meat consumption.

The Mediterranean diet, one of the most preferred diets, allows for dairy products and seafood in moderation. Olive oil is the key source in this diet. The Mediterranean diet is suitable for almost everyone and it also protects against cancer, blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, depression and Alzheimer's.

Vegan Diet

The vegan diet, one of the diets that is mostly preferred by those who favor eating less meat or none at all, is based on consumption of only plant-based products. This form of nutrition does not allow consumption of any animal products, including milk, dairy products, eggs and honey, as well as red meat, fish and chicken. It includes plant-based milks such as almond milk, soy milk, coconut milk and other plant-based sources.

Ketogenic Diet

The ketogenic diet, also called keto diet, includes low carbohydrate, moderate protein and high fat intake. This diet, one of the most popular diets today, puts the body into a state of ketosis and helps reduce fat stores.

Flexitarian Diet

This type of diet, which can also be described as a semi-vegetarian diet, mainly includes consumption of plants and plant-based foods, with low intake of meat, milk and dairy products. With no calorie target, this diet follows a more flexible and moderate approach compared to vegetarian and vegan diets. In this way, it makes limited consumption of animal foods possible, in addition to the plant-based foods.
