Ancient City of Ephesus
Ancient City of Ephesus is located in the district of Selcuk in Izmir. Its history dates back to 6000 BC. It hosted several civilizations in history, including Roman, Greek and Turkish. It is claimed to have been built by female warriors called Amazon. All avenues and streets intersect at right angles in this ancient city. This architecture was envisioned by Hippodamus. There is a number of world famous works such as the Temple of Artemis, Library of Celsus, House of Virgin Mary in this work of art.
