Ancient City of Miletus
Located in the district of Didim in Aydin, this ancient city is where initiatives of civilization were made and the foundations of positive sciences were laid. It is claimed that the city of Miletus is named after Miletus, the founder, who was left in the forest by his mother in order to protect him from the wrath of his grandfather and raised by female wolves in this forest. The Miletus Theater welcomes the visitors at the entrance to the ancient city. There are also the senate house and the Nymphaion, the three-storey public pool, also known as the public fountain. It hosts the Faustina Bath, one of the largest Roman baths.
