Ancient City of Zeugma
Located in the district of Nizip in Gaziantep, this ancient city is one of our ancient cities famous for its mosaics, especially the Gypsy Girl. The city got this name meaning passage-bridge as two cities were united. Zeugma made remarkable progress in art especially in the Roman period. The mosaic floors adorning rich villas compete with examples around the world. Unearthed during the excavations in Zeugma and brought a world record to Turkey in this respect, the bulla (seal) is also among the important features of Zeugma.
