Ancient City of Aizanoi
Ancient City of Aizanoi is located in the district center of Cavdarhisar, 50 kilometers away from Kutahya. Based on the information from ancient sources, this city is claimed to have formed by the union of the nymph Erato and the legendary King Arkas. The ruins include Temple of Zeus, one of the best preserved temples in Anatolia, theater with a capacity of 15 thousand people, a stadium with a capacity of 13 thousand people built adjacent to the theater, two Turkish baths (hamam), the world's first known stock exchange building, five bridges and a columned street.
