The Egyptian Museum in Cairo was built by Egyptian Mehmet Pasha from Kavala, the Governor of Egypt, to preserve ancient Egyptian antiquities.
Cairo Museum is an extremely large museum that is home to more than 120,000 pieces. The tomb of Tutankhamun and a number of mummies found in this tomb are one of the most famous pieces of the museum.
